Designed to be taken by students who have been playing for a few terms, the Recorder Prep Test has pieces and tunes, a fun page, illustrations and information about the test.

Included are the skills that students will be developing at this stage, such as a sense of rhythm and pitch, accuracy, controlled and even playing, and quality of tone.

The Prep test gives students an introduction to the ABRSM exam experience, with something to aim for and a certificate on the day.
