April 2003

This month has seen many developments within Brittens Music.

New name unveiled at Tunbridge Wells & Eastbourne.
Formerly know as Newingtons and Seaford Music, both shops will now be known as Brittens Music. We aim to continuing the high quality service expected at all three stores and look forward to serving you with a better, more efficient service in the future.

Mail Order service.
As you may already know, just under a year ago Britten's Music merged with Newingtons Music of Tunbridge Wells, when John Britten retired from the business. Since then, a third shop, Seaford Music of Eastbourne, has joined the group.

As from 1st April 2003 the mail order part of the three businesses will be centralised at Tunbridge Wells, where there is a large purpose designed mail order department and a very large stock of sheet music and accessories.

We are aware of the very high standard of service that our customers have come to expect from our mail order service, and it is our intention to maintain this and to build on it with our increased size and usage of the latest technology.

Expansion of Tunbridge Wells store.
We have taken over the adjoining building, formerly known as Zona's bakery and have converted it into a specialist strings showroom. This will allow our customers to try out violins, violas, cellos and basses in comfortable surroundings, as well as providing additional space within the store to offer a greater choice of instruments and sheet music.
